About Us
Welcome to AAPI Artists for Mental Initiative (AAMI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization proudly based in Los Angeles. At AAMI, we believe every AAPI artist’s journey holds the power to heal, connect, and inspire change. Our mission is to uplift the voices of Asian American and Pacific Islander artists by sharing their stories — stories of resilience, identity, and mental health — to break the silence, dismantle stigma, and foster true belonging.

Rooted in storytelling and creative expression, we provide a platform where lived experiences are honored and community connection is strengthened. Through exhibitions, performances, workshops, and collaborative projects, we spotlight the transformative impact of the arts on mental wellness.

We are proud to partner with Asian Media Entertainment and to film our episodes at Synergy Health Recovery in Beverly Hills, California. Through these collaborations, we have reached over 80,000 views and shared a creative space with Asian Media Network (AMN) in celebrating their milestone of earning YouTube’s prestigious Silver Button for surpassing 100,000 subscribers.
We recognize the unique mental health challenges within the AAPI community — from cultural barriers to generational silence — and we are committed to building spaces grounded in empathy, cultural understanding, and evidence-based practices. At AAMI, we believe that healing through art is not only possible, but vital.

Through our website and programs, you can explore inspiring AAPI artist stories, access mental health resources, and find a supportive community for your own journey.
Thank you for believing in the power of creativity, community, and storytelling. Together, we are shaping a future where every AAPI artist’s voice is heard, honored, and celebrated.
